How does the proofreading work?

Members:

Members can send their work to the Copy Cat team for professional proofreading, at an additional cost. Simply log into The Copy Cat and create your listing. Click the ‘Proofreading’ button at the bottom of your screen and select ‘Send to Copy Cat’. This requires a one-time pre-payment of $10 USD for which you will receive a surface-level check that identifies misspellings, incorrect/missed punctuation, grammar errors, text and numerical inconsistencies and incorrect word usage. The Copy Cat editor may, depending on the length of the copy and whether time permits, suggest further improvements to the overall copy. There is a 24-hour turnaround for this service. If you subscribe to the Pro Multi or Agency plan you get an additional option of sending your copy internally. Simply click on ‘Send internally’ and select from your list of team members (team members can be added from the left menu). This will add the listing to the Proof Library and alert your selected team member, who can check your copy, make suggested changes and save. The author can then review the changes and select from three options ‘Accept’ the suggested changes, ‘Save with edits’, or ‘Revert’ to switch back to the original version.

Non members:

From the bottom of the page you are now visiting, select ‘Post a Project’ and choose ‘Proofreading’ as your ‘Project type’. Complete the ‘Your details’ form to provide your name, email address, delivery deadline and language preference, and specify either a word count or character limit if required.

Attach a file with your copy by dropping it into the ‘File for Proofing’ box or clicking to upload. Once you’ve agreed to the Terms & Conditions you will be redirected for payment. This requires a one-time pre-payment of $15 USD (Members: $10 – view plans) for which you will receive a surface-level check that identifies misspellings, incorrect/missed punctuation, grammar errors, text and numerical inconsistencies and incorrect word usage. The Copy Cat editor may, depending on the length of the copy and whether time permits, suggest further improvements to the overall copy.

A word document displaying both the original and revised versions (with mark-ups) will be emailed back to you via the email address you provided in the ‘Your details’ section. There is a 24-hour turnaround for this service.

How does the real estate copywriting work?

From the bottom of the page you are now visiting, select ‘Post a Project’ and choose ‘Real Estate Listing’ as your ‘Project type’. Complete the ‘Your details’ form to provide your name, email address, delivery deadline and language preference, and specify either a word count or character limit.  Enter the address of the property, select the property type, sale type and price range.  Upload a property appraisal form or complete our online version. Add property photos and floorplan, either by sharing a link or uploading.

Once you’ve agreed to the Terms and Conditions and clicked ‘Submit’ your project request will be sent to The Copy Cat and a real estate listing will be emailed to you via the email address provided on the ‘Your details’ form.  Turnaround time is 48 hours from submission of the project request.  A maximum of two revisions/edits are included in the project price. An invoice will be emailed to you and is payable upon satisfactory completion of the project.

How does the custom real estate writing work?

From the bottom of the page you are now visiting, select ‘Post a Project’ and choose ‘Copywriting – Other’ as your ‘Project type’, complete the ‘Your details’ form with your name, email address and contact number. Provide a brief outline of the project scope and upload supporting files if required. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and submit. Further clarification may be sought via email before a quote will be sent via the email address supplied on the ‘Your details’ form. If the quote is accepted, an invoice will be emailed to you and will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the project.
